It’s been 3 years in preparation but the Law Commission has finally completed its review of social care law in England & Wales. The report, along with recommendations, was published today at 11:30am.

I wouldn’t recommend traumatising delusional people by fighting against their treasured beliefs anyway. It’s better to discover what need the delusion fills and then rather than remove the benefit, meet that need in another way that doesn’t depend upon a delusion.

The act of exorcism creates a self-fulfilling prophecy of helplessness that cannot be positive. Exorcising people with mental health problems is based upon 2,000 year old mythology that has no place in the 21st century. It stigmatises, misleads and traumatises.
