Interview with Project Prevention’s first UK client

I suppose it is less emotional effort to blame, condemn and find a scapegoat rather than to try and understand and help fix the problem.

Project Prevention video

This video by some of the children Barbara Harris wants to prevent is so much more eloquent than I could be. By contrasting their stories with the dishonest, misleading vitriol of Project Prevention leader, Barbara Harris, these young people & their mothers expose the lie that is Project Prevention. Have a look at the film [...]

Another blog award nomination

Project Prevention is the American eugenicist organisation that wants to bribe vulnerable people to accept sterilisation. In UK and USA they target drug addicts. In Haiti they want to sterilise people because they’re ‘too poor’ to have children and in Africa they’re targetting women who are HIV+.

Renewed interest in Project Prevention

Project Prevention’s limited sense of morality ins’t really concerned with ‘who’ gets sterilised so long as the money keeps coming in

South African government opposes Project Prevention

doctors found co-operating with the organisation in any medical interventions would be reported to the Health Professions Council of South Africa

Project Prevention’s 1st UK client’s view

If Barbara Harris (Project Prevention’s director) feels better by involving herself in the affairs of others that’s one thing but her emotional needs should not be met at the expense of other people’s rights.

Remarkably muddled thinking from Project Prevention’s director, Barbara Harris

Actually the tactic of making personal attacks and accusations appears to be the main approach from Project Prevention. It seems that whenever they are asked a question or confronted by evidence that exposes their duplicity they resort to attempts to discredit the challenger. This is a common tactic that can be found in school yards all over the UK. Unfortunately for Barbara and Stephen it doesn’t work too well when they’re challenged by adults.

Project Prevention’s amazing duplicity

I’m sorry to report that the American ‘charity’, Project Prevention still seems to be intent on ignoring UK culture & law regarding the safeguarding of vulnerable adults. The organisation is publishing conflicting messages but the real intent is gradually becoming clearer. PP website what’s new’ section still said today (Feb 18th 2011): “The UK chapter [...]

Kaleidoscope – a much better proposition

Given the previous relationship between Kaleidoscope and Project Prevention (a US charity with a board of directors full of that country’s religious right wing) I expected much the same religiously motivated condemnation of people ‘not worthy’ to exist. Happily Kaleidoscope appears to want to attend to reality rather than the dubious morality of a vengeful, Old Testament God.

Letter to Kaleidoscope

The following is an Email I sent to Kaleidoscope this morning. It’ll be interesting to know what response I get. “Dear Kaleidoscope, Having been an outspoken critic of Project Prevention I am very interested in your own approach to contraception among the substance using population. My first thought upon hearing of your intentions was fairly [...]
